Student Showcase - CICan on the Hill

February 25th and 27th, 2020, I have been in Ottawa networking and collaborating with amazing people across Canada. It was the second ISAAC in-person meeting, and we had three full days of activities.

In February 26 Morning

I had spent the morning working with Faculty and Administrators of 9 colleges across Canada. Together, we discussed Campus Sustainability and helped form the outline of a 2-year plan to help these campuses take steps towards achieving tangible goals related to the United Nations SDG's. It's really easy to see the world's problems as too big. This morning was yet another reminder that change is taking place, and when you open yourself up to the conversation, amazing things happen.

In February 26 Afternoon

So grateful for the opportunity to speak with @gabriellevfayant this afternoon in Ottawa and get some insight into how I can be a better ally to the Indigenous people of Canada.

Meeting with the Canadian Commission of UNESCO to understand the work they are doing nationally towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
