Celebrating Pride 2020 in Canada

On June 27, 2020 (Saturday) the Brazilian LGBTQIA+ Community in Canada partner with CONCID (Brazilian Ontario Citizenship Council) to present the live event "Celebrating Pride 2020 in Canada". This event was held from 1:30 pm to 7 pm on Facebook. Several topics like Isolation, COVID, Mental Health, etc were discussed. We also had fun activities like Drag Queen performances and shows with Brazilian singers. Fundraising was created to support LGBTQIA+ organizations in Toronto.

In the end, our event received 2K views initially, and after streaming 5000 views – a huge success. We also doubled our fundraising goal and provided help and support for 2 organizations (The 519 and ACT Toronto). As a result, I was interviewed by Omni Television (a Portuguese channel in Toronto) and we could connect with our community so isolated by the pandemic.
